Cheetah Outreach: Protecting Southern Africa’s Free-Ranging Cheetahs

Our Vision: To ensure the survival of the free-ranging Southern African Cheetah. Cheetah Outreach is an educational and conservation facility dedicated to this goal. We partner with cheetah Ambassadors to offer unique personal experiences, raising awareness and ensuring financial sustainability for our conservation programs.

South Africa is home to approximately 1326 cheetahs, with about 500 free-ranging individuals living on unprotected farmlands in the northern part of the country. Our facility actively promotes the work of the Cheetah Outreach Trust, aiming to conserve this vital population. We engage both local and international visitors, encouraging them to connect with and join us in saving these elegant African predators.

For over 25 years, we’ve partnered with captive-born Ambassadors, successfully raising their public profile and supporting the efforts of the Cheetah Outreach Trust. Our facility also runs a highly regarded educational program for students in the Cape Town area.

The Cheetah Outreach Trust works directly with communities in free-ranging cheetah territories to develop initiatives that effectively reduce human-wildlife conflict.

Plan Your Visit:

• Entry Fees: R10 per person on weekdays; R5 on weekends and public holidays. We accept credit cards.
• Dress Code: Please wear comfortable walking shoes, as you’ll be on grassy, uneven ground. Sunscreen is recommended for summer, and gumboots for winter.
• Mobility Issues: Guests with mobility concerns should contact us in advance so we can arrange a suitable interaction.
