Discover Cape Point: Private Hiking & Cycling Tours with AWOL Tours
Explore the breathtaking beauty of Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope with AWOL Tours’ private guided tours, perfect for both hikers and cyclists.
Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your accommodation at 8 AM (or 7 AM during the peak summer months of December and January to avoid crowds). You’ll be joined by a qualified nature and culture guide who will share fascinating facts, stories, and legends about the Cape’s rich history and vibrant culture.
En route to the Cape Peninsula section of the Table Mountain National Park, we’ll make a stop to visit the adorable African penguins at Boulders Beach colony.
Once inside the reserve, you have the choice of an exhilarating 25km to 60km bike ride along scenic, undulating roads leading down to the iconic Cape of Good Hope, the most south-westerly corner of the African continent. Alternatively, enjoy a leisurely hike from Cape of Good Hope to Cape Point, bringing to life the legend of the “Cape of Storms.”
Throughout your tour, keep an eye out for diverse wildlife amidst the unique fynbos vegetation of the Cape Floral Kingdom. For lunch, relax with a picnic on one of the pristine white beaches, or choose to dine at the Two Oceans Restaurant or Harbour House, both offering spectacular views over False Bay.
Your unforgettable day concludes with a scenic drive back to Cape Town along the Atlantic coast, traveling via Chapman’s Peak, Hout Bay, Llandudno, and Camps Bay.
