Organized by Smile FM

Following the success of the 2025 event, Smile FM is once again hosting its Take a Step Against GBV walk in November 2026.

Our goal is to attract an even larger field this year and, in doing so, increase the amount raised for organisations supporting survivors of Gender-Based Violence.

“You understand that it is in your hands to make a difference.”
— Nelson Mandela

The reality of GBV in South Africa is dire, with more than 1 in 3 women experiencing physical and/or sexual violence in their lifetime.

Smile FM is committed to supporting survivors of abuse, and we are calling on Capetonians to come together and Take a Step Against Gender-Based Violence.

To find out more about how you can get involved in this important event – either as a sponsor or participant – please contact Lauren@smile904.fm or 021 818 8904.

Smile FM would greatly appreciate your support. Every step makes a difference.
